I am a firm beliver in Conway Feed. There are times I use our School Bus (RV) to haul 50lb sacks of feed. Allways have room for more. And due to the increase cost of local hay will be feeding E. Wash alfalfa to cows and goats this fall. We have till June to form our group. Hopefully Andy Nigretto will haul for us, cost/feed quality will determine. This order will include straw and grass hay.
Hi Ian, Kate and I are always looking for cost effective options for hay. We need 10 or 11 tons per year of timothy/orchard grass hay for our horses. Last year I bought from a guy in Burlington who raises hay himself. What do you have in mind for '08? I also buy alfalfa pellets from Cenex in absurdly huge quantities for an old horse that doesn't have the teeth for hay...how are Conway Feed's prices?
may be building a strawbale cabin in sept, bringing over bales from e. wa. haven't looked into details yet, but might be an opportunity to do a large group order if the need is there.
